Did You Know That You Are A COUPON?

Did you know that you are a Coupon? You are just this little slip of paper that, in and of itself, is worth 1/1000th of a penny to anyone except the one who made the coupon. You are made up of water and minerals and something invisible called life. There isn’t much financial value to it, except to someone harvesting organs!

There are different types of coupons – store coupons and manufacturer coupons. Whoever created the coupon is the one who assigns its value, and when it is turned in, is willing to redeem it for its value. You can’t turn a store coupon in to a manufacturer – it has no value to the manufacturer. You can turn a manufacturer coupon in to a store, but they still have to go back to the manufacturer to get repaid its value.

And coupons have specific purposes – just try turning in a buy one get one Kroger coupon at a Car Dealership. They aren’t going to honor it. The coupon has to be used for the purpose for which it was created.

So many of you think you are a store coupon, created by the world who you think sets your value. You keep trying to turn yourself in to someone in the world who will say you are valuable, worth redeeming, but you can never find someone to do that. You think your Coupon’s purpose is to please the world and everyone in it so someone will finally redeem you for your value.

The real problem is that you don’t know that you are a Manufacturer coupon, made by the One who created you for His purposes only. It is only to Him that you are valuable, simply because He created you, and for those who have taken Him as Lord and Savior, He adopted you as His child. The world doesn’t see the value that the Manufacturer has assigned to His coupons unless they get something out of it. It only sets value on coupons that somehow profit the world.

And the value set for your coupon is whatever the Manufacturer will pay to redeem it, and in this case, it was His Only Son, Jesus. The life and death of the Son of God is what your Coupon is worth. The world may find no value in it, but you should.

So stop trying to get the world to value you, because you are not of this world. It does not value you, but God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit find you worth dying for. Realize who you are, why you were made, who you were made for – From Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever.

If you are feeling valueless – then turn yourself over to your Manufacturer and know that He gave His life for you out of love for you. He alone will always be your source of worth.
